Another version of Animal Farm. This one, I based off the look of old Soviet Russian propaganda posters. I hope the look fits... anyway, I did this because I wanted the design to reflect the story's Soviet roots, so to speak. Since Animal Farm was originally about Soviet Russia, I wanted to show it in the design.
Each animal was made separately. I sketched them first on scrap paper, scanned them, and painstakingly outlined them in Photoshop. I'm really quite proud, because I gained new insights into laying out different elements for designs.
Layout is fun! Too bad it just takes so much time.
More colored versions to come. This is just the first.
The font I used for the cover is "Eurocentric", and for the blurb I used "Univers."

Thanks, Jay! Yeah, that's what I was really going for. I actually had a bunch of concepts drawn up before reading the book, but after reading it, I decided this was a more apt design for it
